Gorgeously elegant 1960's wedding dress. The empire waist with column skirt provides a slimming, elongating silhouette - especially flattering for the petite bride! The maker is Murray Hamburger - a prestigious bridal fashion house based in NYC from the 1940's to the 1980's where designer Victor Costa got his start as an assistant in the early 1960's.

Features of the dress include:
  • Beautiful, high quality construction and ivory crepe fabric
  • Universally flattering scoop neckline
  • Princess seamed bodice for a flattering fit
  • Short sleeves
  • Scroll pattern Venice lace appliqué at the cuffs and empire waist
  • Floor length skirt with 3.5" sweep train and inverted kick pleat
  • Lovely attached panel train framed in Venice lace appliqué; 14.5" wide at the hem
  • Fully lined in satin
  • Centered back metal zipper
  • Murray Hamburger branded hanger loops and blue union tag
Marked with a (vintage) size 10 tag. I estimate the size to be a modern US size 2; UK 6; EUR 34. Please check your measurements to ensure a good fit.

Outside garment measurements when laying flat:
Bust: 32" (doubled)
Waist: 26.5" (doubled)
Hip: 36" (doubled) maximum, would be a better fit on 34-35" hip
Shoulder: 13"
Total length from shoulder to hem: 54"

Please remember these are the garment outside measurements, leave yourself room for comfort and movement when comparing to your body measurements.

Excellent vintage condition. No significant flaws found; general wear consistent with age. Pearl necklace is not included.
