Art Nouveau Opal 18k Gold Leaves and Branch Finely Detailed Edwardian Pin Brooch

Stunning antique 18k yellow gold leaf and branch brooch with a gorgeous cabochon opal. The opal has a beautiful color play of peacock blue, bright green, indigo and peach. The oval cabochon measures approximately 8mm long by 5.8mm wide. The leaves are cast with hand-engraved vein detailing. Branches are hand-embossed with incredible detail. The brooch measures a total length of 2.3 inches 0.5 inches at its widest point. Total weight is 5 grams.

Some time ago the pin stem was replaced. The pin stem is 14k rose gold. The tube C clasp and the brooch itself are 18k yellow gold. The opal has inclusions visible under magnification. No discernible hallmarks. Overall, it's a gorgeous piece sure to catch the eye and many compliments!
