This is a fine antique Art Deco diamond and natural sapphire ring circa the 1920s. This stunning ring is comprised of 7 diamonds and 4 natural blue sapphires. Five Old European cut diamonds are prong-set in octagonal settings down the length of the center and are flanked by four square natural blue sapphires, two per side. An additional round diamond is perched on each shoulder for a total of seven diamonds. Crisp filigree and milgrain detailing have stood the test of time.

Belais Manufacturing Co. was founded in 1863 by David Belais in New York, NY. It was among the earliest manufacturers of white gold jewelry in the US, and was arguably the most prominent. Jewelers of the time would advertise that they sold "18K Belais", as the company name had become synonymous with high quality white gold.
