Fantastic William Spratling "Lorenzo" sterling silver and amethyst brooch! The brooch features a stylized parrot profile set with a large cabochon amethyst. It is a substantial piece at 4.5 inches long. The parrot is a great example of Spratling's pre-Columbian inspiration along with 1940s aerodynamic design influence.
